PHEASANT HUNTING LOCATIONS

Pheasant hunting in California can be tough but there are some alternative. Below you will see a list of locations where the California Department of Fish and Wildlife are sponsoring pheasant hunts for Women and Apprentices. Although it is way too late to put in for these hunts you can still show up at most of these hunt locations an hour or so before the hunts and ask if they have room. Usually there are several spots left due to no shows and other issues. Also as another alternative is to research the area where the hunts are taking place. Many of these areas are public land and although you can't hunt them on the day of the hunt because they are set aside for the Women’s and Junior hunts, you can show up the next day and hunt the areas after the hunts are over with there are usually plenty of birds left over. Now please remember to do your research and make sure your 100% legal, no trespassing and if you need a Type A, or B pass be sure to get one. Good luck and Happy Pheasant hunting.
